Let’s All Chill Out and Listen to the Nashville [1975] Soundtrack
One of my favorite movies is Robert Altman’s Nashville. Much of it consists of the main characters performing ’70’s-era country songs, written for the movie. The songs range from being really, really great to being subtle parodies of the time period and genre’s dopeyness. Someone has made a playlist on YouTube of the full soundtrack, which is here:
If you only want to hear the really great ones (the first of which, “Since You’ve Gone,” is not in the soundtrack, for some reason), they’re below. The last video, unavoidably, contains a really big spoiler, though.
